A track cylinder, also referred to as track tension cylinder, is a vital hydraulic component integrated into the track adjuster assembly of crawler construction machinery including excavators, bulldozers and crawler loaders. As the power core for track tensioning, it pushes the track idler to adjust track tightness via hydraulic pressure. It works with the buffer spring to keep the crawler system in stable condition, effectively preventing track derailment, slack or excessive wear during operation.
